How do you want to feel?
What is The Desire Map? It's one of my favorite things.
See, we have the procedures of achievement upside down.
Under capitalism, typically we come up with our to-do lists, our bucket lists, and our strategic plans — all the stuff we want to have, get, accomplish, and experience outside of ourselves.
But ALL of those aspirations are being driven by an innate desire to feel a certain way.
So what if we get clear on how we actually want to feel within ourselves, and THEN we design our to-do lists, set our goals, and write out our bucket lists?
How do you want to feel when you look at your calendar?
When you get dressed in the morning?
When you walk through the door of your studio or your office?
When you pick up the phone?
When you accept the award, finish your masterpiece, cash the check, or fall in love?
How do you want to feel?
Here's the problem with "traditional" goal-setting...
Intentions and goals are tools for liberation. So when we use goal-chasing like a hammer, it can beat up on our sense of self, our relationships, and our creativity. Setting the goal, pursuing it, and achieving the goal is supposed to feel good.
(Feeling good is the whole point.)
When you are clear on how you most want to feel, you turn traditional goal-setting inside out. Constantly racing toward "success" just strands you on a never-ending hamster wheel, a.k.a. The Hedonic Treadmill. This workshop is designed to help you relearn how to move toward your heart's desires with trust and intention. Go after the goals that nourish your spirit, with your core desired feelings as the compass.
I'll say it again: Feeling good is the whole point.

All calls will be via video chat on Zoom and run an hour or less. You are expected to attend at least 8 out of 10 calls. There will be homework between calls!
Investment: $447-$599, sliding scale.
Note: Before you select your income level, you might benefit from doing Third Root Community Health Center's sliding scale worksheet. For our purposes, your sliding scale level is based on your total income MINUS expenses such as medical costs, student loans or tuition, childcare, and more.
I am also holding space for one partial scholarship recipient. Priority is given to queer, trans, and POC participants, but anyone who self-identifies as low-income may apply. Contact me to inquire.
